Busch Gardens Williamsburg Howl-O-Scream 2026 | Select Dates September 11 – November 1, 2026

Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream® returns with menacing scares and sinister frights, beginning this Friday, September 11. Visitors can take screams to the extreme with five haunted houses, five terror-tories™ and four shows. Beyond the haunts, guests can take their horror to new heights with nighttime rides on ten world-class coasters, including the all-new Verbolten: Forbidden Turn. Virginia’s premier Halloween event features startling scares throughout the park on select dates from September 11 – November 1, 2026.
Plus, guests can celebrate the start of Howl-O-Scream with the return of Starfright Orchestra! On September 12 and 13, the high-energy swing band will take the stage in the Globe Theater. Performing a signature soundtrack of spooky songs and familiar TV tunes, it's the perfect way to kick off Busch Gardens' most sinister season.
Five All-New Frights
All-New Haunted House – Anaconda Dead on Arrival: Inspired by “Anaconda”, visitors are sent deep into the Amazon to search for the missing film crew. What begins with an abandoned movie set quickly turns into a fight for survival as the jungle is overrun by the giant anaconda. Escape its deadly grip… or become its next victim.
All-New Haunted House – Fright at the Museum*: At this museum, the past comes back to haunt you. What begins as an archaeological dig quickly becomes a nightmare when cursed artifacts awaken. From savage Vikings to undead pharaohs, the horrors of the past are waiting to claim their next discovery. *Fright at the Museum opens on September 25.
All-New Terror-Tory™ - Viper Valley: Once a lively festival honoring legends, this celebration is now overrun with slithering snakes, ready to strike around every twist and turn.
All-New Terror-Tory™ – Witch’s Way: Beneath its cursed canopy, evil witches and ancient crones command the enchanted woods while twisted vines and haunted foliage close in around you. Lose your way, and the forest may claim you forever.
All-New Show – Undead Diva: Vita Von Vault returns from the dead for a high‑energy, haunted show filled with mystery and killer vocals. Mystery unfolds as this scorned diva tries to uncover which member of her silent, undead band poisoned her.
No Howl-O-Scream adventure is complete without spectacular bites and drinks to fuel guests as they face their deepest fears and can grab some liquid courage at BOOze bars throughout the park. Plus, the park’s selection of spooky shops offers an array of gifts to help visitors relive the thrills of Howl-O-Scream long after their terror-filled evening has ended.
